FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to vertebrology and neurosurgery, and can be used for determination of indications to performing anterior interbody spondilodesis in surgical treatment of patients with compressive-comminuted fractures in lower thoracic and lumbar part of spine. Radiometric and KT indices are estimated before operation. Correction of spine deformation and transpedicular spondilosynthesis are carried out. Repeated KT-examination with 3D reconstruction is performed with determination of volume of posttraumatic defect of vertebra body and volumes of bodies of adjacent vertebras (overlying and underlying). If value of posttraumatic defect constitutes more than 25% of mean arithmetic value of volumes of bodies adjacent with injured vertebra, performance of anterior interbody spondildesis as the second stage is considered indicated.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to objectively determine appropriateness of carrying out anterior interbody spondilodesis at the second stage of surgical treatment of patients with compressive-comminuted fractures in lower thoracic and lumbar part of spine.
