FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicles with wheels driven by independent drives. Proposed device comprises n motor generators, wheel drive module, drive circuit, drive and motor generator power supply and switching mechanism. Switching mechanism allows switching the state of one of n motor generators whereat the latter and drive circuit are connected together into that whereat m of n motor generators and drive circuit are connected together. In compliance with second version, proposed device comprises additionally a control device. Said control device comprises first drive device intended for driving m of n motor generators and second drive device for driving one of n motor generators by drive circuit. In compliance with third version, is additionally comprises n circuits if switches to connect/disconnect drive circuit and n motor generators, respectively. Control device controls drive circuit to selectively switch one or m of n switch circuits into "connected" state for motor generator to generate propellant force.

EFFECT: higher-efficiency electric drive.
