FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: this invention covers a charging control unit of a vehicle which includes pilot signal control line, resistance element, switch unit and control unit. Resistance element is connected between pilot signal control line and vehicle earthing. Switch unit is connected between either pilot signal control line and resistance element, or resistance element and vehicle earthing. The control unit is designed for charging system activation based on pilot signal control line potential. The control unit switches the switch unit into the disconnected state, if charging cable is connected to the vehicle.

EFFECT: detection of abnormities and charging control by a pilot signal.
