FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: vehicle (10) charging system is equipped with a charging port (110), a charging device (130), a motive power output device (140), a PLC processing unit (150) and a charging ECU (160). The charging port (110) is configured such that a charging cable (30) can be connected to it. The PLC processing unit (150) is used for communication over a power transmission line with a PLC processing unit (220) of a house (20) using the charging port (110) and the charging cable (30) as a communication channel. The charging ECU (160) switches the relay of a CCID (40) to an off state when communication over the power transmission line ended at the end of external charging, and maintains an on state of the relay of a CCID (40) when communication over the power transmission line continues at the end of external charging.
EFFECT: high reliability of communication of an energy storage with energy source which is external with respect to the vehicle.
