FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: power transmitting device for vehicle contains planetary gear set with rotary components which gear set is capable to change gear ratio in power transmission path for power transmission to output shaft and electric machine transmitting power to carrier of planetary gear set. When engagement position change operation in meshing drive switches over rotary component made capable to transmit power to output shaft the device operates in synchronous mode where power from electric machine rotates planetary gear carrier to set rotation frequency on the side of input shaft which frequency is about the same as rotation frequency on the side of output shaft.
EFFECT: more smooth switching over.
