FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: procedure for production of nano-particles of noble metals consists in concentration by extracting methods, and in ion flotation or flotation extraction of pre-cursors of noble metals from water solutions with their successive reduction. As extractants-flotators and reducers there are used s-alkylisothiuronium halogenides. Further hydrocarbon solution with metal precursors is mixed with water solution of alkali metal hydroxide of 9-11 pH. Created sediment is separated by centrifugation, washed with hydrocarbon, water and ethanol and dried in vacuum. Produced sediment is dissolved in hydrocarbon to obtaining solution of 5-10 % concentration; further solution is placed into an autoclave, heated to temperature 180-200°C and gradually cooled to room temperature. As s-alkylisothiuronium halogenides there are used chlorides, bromides, iodides with alkyl chain from C8 to C18, while as hydrocarbons there are used toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene, mixture of toluene (20 %) with isoamyl alcohol and kerosene.
