FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in nanotechnology and chemical industry. A method of producing bismuth nanoparticles includes concentrating semiconductor precursors from aqueous solutions by extraction techniques, followed by reduction thereof. The extractants used are s-alkylisothiouronium halides. In order to extract a bismuth precursor, an s-alkylisothiouronium halide solution is mixed with a solution for leaching oxidising roasting ashes of bismuth-containing industrial products containing 0.001 M aqueous [BiCl4]- solution. The obtained solution of a bismuth ion precursor with a surfactant ion in toluene is separated on a separating funnel. Tolune is vacuum distilled. The obtained precursor solution is decomposed at ratio thereof to sodium hydroxide of 1:2 and pH=11. The obtained precipitate is separated by centrifuging and dried on air. The precipitate is then placed in an autoclave or ampoule, connected to a vacuum and heated to 140-180°C. The thermolysis products are cooled and dissolved in chloroform. The obtained dispersion of bismuth particles is centrifuged to separate bismuth powder from the chloroform solution.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain bismuth nanoparticles.
