FIELD: explosives.

SUBSTANCE: electric detonator comprises cartridge (1) with charge of explosive substance (ES) installed in it as an external hinge (6) made of secondary explosive substance of high density, intermediate hinge (3) of deflagration explosive substance with low density and initiating hinge (4) of deflagration explosive substance of high density joined with explosive bridge (8). Bridge (8) is installed on sealing block (7) with current leads (9). Initiating hinge (4) is arranged with height h along axis determined according to formula h=(22…26)-D_i, where D_i - diametre of explosive bridge.

EFFECT: improved efficiency, reliability and performance of electric detonator actuation.
