FIELD: blasting operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to explosive devices of increased safety, namely to low-voltage bridging electric detonators, and can be used as small-size initiating device during blasting operations. Electric detonator consists of case 1, explosive charge in form of weights: output 2 of secondary explosive of high density, conjugated with it initiating 3 of deflagration explosive of high density, pressed into sleeve 1, plastic sealing pad 4 with terminals 6, initiator 5 made in the form of a plate from dielectric material with layers 8 made of current-conducting materials, for example nickel and chrome, made on it in the form of foil, spaced on opposite sides of axis and contacting each other to form contact zone along axis perpendicular to electric detonator axis, and discharger 7 installed between sealing pad 4 and sleeve 1.
EFFECT: invention improves operational characteristics, increases efficiency of operation, reliability and speed of electric detonator, reduces power consumption and overall dimensions.
