SUBSTANCE: according to the method, an indenter is pressed into the winding body, where movement of the indenter relative the surface which rests on the surface of bobbin is the quantitative characteristic of the controlled quantity. According to the method, the controlled bobbin rotates and the measuring element continuously moves parallel the axis of the bobbin. The device has an indenter mounted on a spring-loaded rod which moves in the axial direction relative the housing with a mounting pad. The indenter is made in form of a roller with a toroidal outer surface.

EFFECT: high quality of monitoring winding and timely adjustment of winding mechanisms in order to prevent defects when treating bobbins with solutions.
