FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sugar industry. The rotatory pulp catcher has a trough-shaped housing with inlet pipes for unfiltered juice and a bimetal cellular cylindrical drum on a shaft, whose openings are in form of a large base flattened cone rotating inside the drum. The pulp catcher has a frame mounted on the shaft, having flexible needle-like pins for cleaning the openings in the drum. The frame is made from bimetal. Material on the outer surface of the frame in contact with air has coefficient of thermal conductivity which is 2.0-2.5 times greater than that of the material on the surface of the frame on the side of the flexible needle-like pins.
EFFECT: invention reduces heat loss to the surrounding medium during operation.
