FIELD: sugar industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed rotary pulp catcher includes an adsorption device tightly connected to the trough-shaped casing and located in its upper part with free vertical movement of the frame with needle-shaped flexible pins for cleaning holes of the mesh cylindrical drum. Adsorption device includes upper and lower mesh surfaces interconnected by lateral solid surfaces. Upper mesh surface has a profile in the form of a sinusoid with a vertex along the central vertical axis of the cleaning device. Holes of the mesh cylindrical drum are made in the form of a truncated cone with a smaller base on the side of needle flexible pins located on the frame. At that, inclination angle of truncated cone side surfaces makes 8–12°.
EFFECT: invention ensures maintenance of normalized section of holes of mesh cylindrical drum by means of complete removal of pulp under action of needle flexible pins.
