FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of setting up inertial navigation system with an axially symmetric vibration sensor which generates oscillations involves a step of setting up vibrations into a position where the sensor is characterised by change in deviation error which is minimal compared to change in deviation error for other vibration positions.
EFFECT: invention minimises the effect of deviation error on navigation characteristics of an inertial navigation system.
