FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for measuring a physical parametre (volume flow rate, mass flow rate, density and/or viscosity) of a medium flowing through the measurement pipe of a built-in flow sensor DA fitted along a pipe. At the inlet side of the DA sensor there is a first pressure sensor PA1 and on the outlet side of the DA sensor there is a second pressure sensor PA2 of a device for measuring pressure drop in the medium along the measuring pipe. Based on pressure drop and using a transfer function, first type values are generated which successively express the measured parametre of the medium. The transfer function determines which way the first type values are generated using pressure drop defined for the flowing medium. Based on the measurement signal generated by the sensor device of the built-in measurement device, the transfer function is periodically brought into concordance with the measured medium. The DA sensor is a Coriolis flow metre, a magnetic-inductive, ultrasonic or vortex flow metre.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of measuring a two- or multi-phase medium under conditions of its monophase formation.
