FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves loading materials into a container, measurement of storage medium parametres at the initial time and at arbitrary time during storage and determination of unauthorised opening of the container from change in defined characteristics. The container is exposed to mechanical effect generated by applying an impact pulse or exciting vibrations on the container, after which vibration accelerations of the container are recorded and undergo frequency analysis by constructing a matrix of transfer functions. Unauthorised opening of the container is determined from the change in the matrix of transfer functions.
EFFECT: reliable detection of unathorised opening of a container storing materials, characterised by properties which are stable over time.
