FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: pulsed solid-state laser has a resonator formed by partially transparent and non-transmitting mirrors, inside of which there is an active element, a polariser and an electrooptic element. Between the active element and the partially transparent mirror there is a 90-degree radiation polarisation rotator and a second polariser. Outside the resonator two swivel mirrors are placed such that, together with the polarisers, they form an annular resonator which has an active element and a 90-degree radiation polarisation rotator. The active element is made from an optically isotropic crystal.
EFFECT: higher frequency, degree of uniformity of spatial structure of radiation, stability of energy parametres of radiation pulses from pulse to pulse and degree of polarisation of the output radiation.
