SUBSTANCE: laser has prismatic-mirror cavity with polarized radiation lead, electrooptical element placed between polarizer and prismatic cover whose edge is parallel or perpendicular to polarizer transmission plane; quarter-wave phase plate is fitted between active element and cavity-end mirror; position of main axes of plane determines reflectivity of equivalent output mirror affording maximum power of single radiation pulses. Illuminator is mounted so that secant plane crossing active-element axis, wherein gain is averaged with respect to element diameter and length to a minimum, makes up, together with polarizer transmission plane, angle of 45 deg; optical axis of electrooptical and cavity axis are spaced apart through angle within first ring of conoscope angle.
