FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device to bend cardboard in making folds on cardboard web fed from large roll wherein web width is equal to that of at least two blanks arranged in parallel to each other. Note here that the width in at least one zone per a pair of webs comprises section whereon folding lines are made on both webs that run across machine feed direction in adjoining areas. Said folding lines are interrupted to make a section that will not be bent on every web of blanks. Said section is intended for forming one part of lengthwise lapped joint. Note here that cardboard blank web is forced up in limited section of that limited section and kept aside of bending machine in direction Z=ZD at the level aligned with the lower bending platform surface most remote from the center, or above said level.
EFFECT: method and device that rule out formation of spontaneous folds in using higher-thickness material.
