SUBSTANCE: inventions refer to fabrication of packing work-pieces out of sheet material, for example paper or plastic. The cutting and creasing disk unit is used for making slits in compressed material. The unit consists of the cutting tool positioned between two rotating halves of the creasing disk. The said halves have similar external radial dimension. The cutting tool is controlled and is moved between halves of the creasing disk from an idle to a working position. Relative travels of the disk unit and material form slits in material.
EFFECT: increased reliability and accuracy of material cutting.
