SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for making work pieces from corrugated cardboard. Material web is directed into working zone of cutting tool arranged with possibility of controlled movement to cut material web. Material web is cut with at least one cutting tool made with possibility of controlled movement to cut material web. Cutting tool is used to apply first cutting lines on web of material, forming billet outline, remnants of material or part of billet contour or material residues on material web. Fabric of material is continuous corrugated cardboard, which is supplied directly from corrugated cardboard production plant. Device comprises device for feeding web material from corrugated cardboard, first cutting station with at least one cutting tool, which is a laser or plasma cutter. Cutting station comprises at least one sensor unit and at least one cutting tool control unit connected to sensor unit. At least one scheduling unit is configured to schedule location of workpieces on the web of material. There is also at least one material web transport device and at least one waste disposal device.
EFFECT: method and device for manufacturing corrugated cardboard blanks are proposed.
