FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automation of programmed and operational target detection process. The target sight system consists of: a detection and tracking unit, a target database, an operational target unit, an external target designation unit, a residual error generation unit, a unit for generating control parametres and a display unit. Programmed or operational target parametres are respectively entered into the external target designation unit from the target database. Parametres of relative position of the target and the aircraft are determined, which are compared with the current position of the line of vision in the residual error generation unit. The obtained residual error is processed in a filtration unit, at the output of which an estimate of the state vector of the system is generated, from which control parametres of onboard target sight apparatus are calculated in the unit for generating control parametres, where the said control parametres of onboard target sight apparatus are entered the detection and tracking apparatus unit where movement of the viewing device is controlled such that the line is directed on the target.
EFFECT: higher probability of hitting a target and efficiency of deployment of aircraft fitted with the target sight system.
