FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: pilarless development method of coal beds involves movement of unit of mining faces along the course of bed like in longwall development system. Protective pillars are not left, mining faces are assembled in a unit and located on a straight line. Rock is not transported from driving of development workings to the surface, but is located in the space developed with longwall faces. Roof caving is performed without hanging on pillars, uniformly, without creating increased ground pressure zones. Development workings at transition points are fixed with flexible fastenings. Completion of roof caving is visually inspected when the roof touches the soil of developed bed.
EFFECT: eliminating increased uncontrolled ground pressure and increasing safety of mining works.
