SUBSTANCE: device has a magnetostrictive transducer 1, an acoustic line made from magnetostrictive material 2, an exciting electroacoustic transducer (EAT) 3 which is fixed relative the acoustic line of the reception electroacoustic transducer 4 which is rigidly connected to the movable end of an elastic element 5 which is in contact with the monitored object, acoustic dampers 6 and 7 placed at the ends of the acoustic line, an electric motor 8, small linear displacement sensors 9 and 10, as well as a controller 11.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of measuring linear displacement due to correction of error components arising from apparatus delay.
