FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in systems for measuring linear displacement in disclosed device and method that implements above device. This invention consists in calibration, which is moved laser emitter, rigidly connected with moving element magnetostrictive converter of linear displacements. Laser emitter projects mark on reference scale arranged in parallel to magnetostriction converter of linear displacement. Position mark on reference scale is recorded by digital microscope. Followed by calculating distance from origin of coordinates of reference scale to centre of laser mark. For this purpose, by digital microscope is not less than 5 images are made (entire scale measurement, entire measurement scale mark in first position, section in area of the mark in first position, entire measurement scale in area of mark in second position and section in area of mark in second position). Obtained images are loaded into personal computer. Then these images are covered with digital scale, after that, calculation of parameters of linear displacements is performed.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring linear displacement due to correction component of error caused by hardware delay.
