FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used during improvement of lubrication conditions and optimisation of structural parametres of parts of cylinder-piston and crank-and-rod groups of piston ICE, and is used mainly in aircraft ICE. Estimation method of friction modes in junctions of cylinder-piston and crank-and-rod groups of piston ICE consists in measurement of temperature of piston head and crankshaft necks, thickness of oil layer between side surface of cylinder, piston, ring and piston skirt, as well as in crankshaft bearings. Measurements are performed in cold condition and at specified ICE operating modes. Measured values are compared to reference ones. If measured values do not comply with reference ones, there specified is position of piston rings, gaps, force of piston rings, piston profile. Device for estimation of friction modes in junctions of cylinder-piston and crank-and-rod groups includes the following: oil layer thickness metre (4), selector switch (3), cathode-ray oscillograph (5), communication device with ICE (6), computer (7) and temperature recording instrument of piston head and crankshaft neck (10). Input of switch (3) is connected to oil layer thickness capacitor gauges (C1…Cn), and output - to input of metre (4). Input of oscillograph (5) is connected through communication device to engine (6) to computer (7). Capacitor gauges (C1…Cn) are equipped with ceramic bushing (11) with spherical belt (17).
EFFECT: reducing fuel flow rate, noise and toxicity level of waste gas, improving reliability of junctions of cylinder-piston and crank-and-rod ICE groups.
