FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, and namely, to piston machines and mechanisms that convert piston reciprocation into shaft rotation. Crank and rocker of piston machine are hinged together to allow piston self-aligning along cylinder surface due to travel in whatever direction relative to rocker in the plane crossing the piston lengthwise axis. Lateral support elements are arranged on interacting elements of the housing and rocker. Linkage between rocker opposite parts and connecting elements limits the travel of one part of the rocker with respect to its opposite part, towards the side opposite the shaft rotational axis and along rocker reciprocation, to provide for preset operating distance between rocker contact surfaces. Note here that contact surfaces of operating support elements and rollers are preloaded.
EFFECT: higher reliability, longer life, reduced weight and sizes, higher efficiency.
