METHOD OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF POST-OPERATIONAL VENTRAL ABDOMINAL HERNIAS Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B17/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be applied for treatment of post-operational ventral abdominal hernias. After longitudinal section of anterior walls of abdominal rectus muscle vaginas and separation of anterior leaf of aponeurosis from abdominal rectus muscles to place of fixation of tendon part of external oblique, internal oblique and transverse muscles of abdomen, tendon part of external oblique, internal oblique and transverse muscles of abdomen is cut off. Mesh endoprosthesis is placed above rectus muscles and sewn to tendon part of external oblique, internal oblique and transverse muscles of abdomen. Medial aponeurotic flaps of anterior walls of vaginas are sewn to each other on medial line without tightening.

EFFECT: method allows to reduce number of complications in early post-operational period (seromas, suppurations, infiltrates) on 50% due to absence of contact of endoprosthesis with subcutaneous fat; perform plication of abdominal rectus muscles, restore and strengthen white line of abdomen due to dissection of tendon part of external oblique, internal oblique and transverse muscles of abdomen; perform plasty of large and gigantic post-operational ventral hernias without entering abdominal cavity.
