SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for coating of plates in continuous mode. Device for application of coating onto plates comprises accumulating mechanism for coating material and shafts for transportation of roll material. Roll material and accumulating mechanism form facilities for supply of coating material between surface of plate and roll material having funnelform cross section. In method for application of coating onto surface of plates, coating material is sent in sufficient amount between roll material and surface of plate with provision of air absence and with provision of possibility for further hardening of coating with the help of ultraviolet radiation or electronic beam.
EFFECT: reduced amount of abrasive material, increased values of wear resistance and improved transparency of wear resistant coating.
