SUBSTANCE: proposed chimney-fireplace relates to heat engineering and can be used heating, primarily, residential cottages. Said chimney-fireplace comprises smoke dust terminating in attic smoke duct and smoke pipe. Furnace smoke duct, if seen from end, represents zigzag duct, if seen from top, represents frame duct, and, if seen from front and rear, it represents herringbone ladder with central post and detachable shutters, respectively. Proposed chimney-fireplace differs from known designs in that horizontal (laterally) frame sections adjacent to side-vertical brick walls of cover represent metal strip with thickness approximating to about 1.0…1.2 mm and width equal to smoke duct passage width between vertical inner walls increased by thickness of smoke duct wall vertical width. Metal strips have their inner side in contact with thermal strip fabric with width equal to smoke duct passage width between duct inner vertical walls increased by approximately 3…5 mm. Fabric and metal strips and smoke duct side walls in contact between themselves and metal strips are glued together by universal mastic, for example, "garant+". Set of rotary shutters is arranged at the smoke duct top part, right under ceiling.

EFFECT: higher efficiency thanks to longer smoke duct at former sizes, reduced weight.
