CHIMNEY COLLAR Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: building, particularly for producing devices constructively connected with roofs, for instance collars for chimneys having curvilinear cross-sections.

SUBSTANCE: collar has L-shaped upper apron with acute angle defined in longitudinal section thereof and with circular groove formed at the apex thereof. Upper apron comprises side horizontal creases located in bottom part and extending along the full length thereof. Side horizontal ceases face each other. The collar has L-shaped lower apron with obtuse angle defined in longitudinal section thereof, with circular groove at its apex and with side horizontal creases located in upper part and extending along he full length thereof. Side horizontal ceases of lower apron face each other. The collar has side aprons. End parts of upper wall contour ceases form lock, wherein side aprons from each collar side are made as a single part. Upper walls of L-shaped aprons have arch-shaped end parts bending away from aprons. End of upper apron ceases are spaced apart a distance equal to difference between chimney width multiplied by a quarter of π and width of corresponding apron bending. Ends of lower apron ceases are spaced a distance equal to sum of chimney width value multiplied by a quarter of π and width of corresponding apron cease bending. Arch-shaped part outlines extending to apron bottoms have smooth transition areas. Hooks are formed on arch-shaped part ends and located from outer apron sides in horizontal plane. Hooks contact with mating hooks defining rings in horizontal plane of hoop mounted with apron with forming horizontal cease. Hoop height is 2.5 - 3 diameters thereof. Vertical hoop cease is formed after hoop connection to the apron. Lower part of vertical hoop cease have no folds along hook width and defines a block with coaxial orifice extending at right angle with hoop connected in cantilever manner cooperating with chimney by outer surface thereof. A strip formed of chimney collar has side edges with 15° - 20° dihedral angles defined from outer sides thereof.

EFFECT: provision of chimney mounting and demounting without soldering thereof, increased mounting and demounting convenience, improved service conditions and chimney fastening strength, extended service life of chimney and collar thereof.
