CHIMNEY COLLAR Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: construction industry, manufacture of facilities structurally coupled to roofs. SUBSTANCE: chimney collar has deflectors with proper seams. Novelty of proposed collar lies in manufacture of L-shaped upper deflectors with acute angle in shared section with radius gutter at vertex and side seams arranged in opposition over entire length and spaced by distance equal to thickness of chimney and double thickness of corresponding deflector. Lower deflector is L-shaped with obtuse angle in shared section with radius gutter at vertex having width equal to thickness of chimney shaft and side seams located on top over entire length and arranged in opposition to one another. Each side upper deflector has side seam made on top and reciprocal to proper seam in lower deflector. Seam of each upper side deflector is located aside relative to its vertical wall. Seam of each lower side deflector faces side opposite to deflector relative to its vertical wall. Seams in angles of outline of vertical walls of deflectors are joined. EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities of collar by increase of its technological, functional and technical characteristics with provision of water tightness without soldering at points of bending due to formation of side shared seams over entire length of L-shaped deflectors reciprocal to proper side shared seams of side deflectors and of two U-shaped outlines of vertical walls of each of three deflectors, upper and lower deflectors being lap-spliced. 11 dwg
