FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment used mainly under space vacuum conditions and intended for definition of flow rate of working medium (xenon) supplied from spacecraft jet engine tanks. One measures operating pressure Pin(t) in the inlet main of the plasma source 1 (propulsion module/PM/ including a stationary plasma engine), defines the transfer characteristic of the thermothrottle 10 of the execution unit 5 of the stabilisation system 4 of the discharge current Ip of the plasma source regulating supply of working medium to the plasma source providing for nominal conditions of operation, with Ip=f(Itt), where Itt - thermothrottle current. In the course of the plasma source operation one measures the current value of the inlet main operating pressure and thermothrottle current. By dependence one defines the current value of weight flow of working medium per unit of time.
EFFECT: invention improves flow rate definition precision.
