FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment, in particular - to devices for definition of aerodynamic characteristics of different modification models in a supersonic wind tunnel whereby one defines summary aerodynamic characteristics of a full-scale aircraft travelling at a supersonic speed and may be used in aviation and aerospace industry. In the device for definition of aerodynamic characteristics of a model in a supersonic wind tunnel containing a model with a detachable head part fixed on strain-gage weighers by way of setting it on the conic part and fixed with a nut connected with a holder installed inside the tunnel, a telecommunication station and a control panel. The strain-gage weighers are fixed on an adapter. Outside the latter a circular cavity is arranged with holes in the butt end for flexible hoses connected with the cooling system and grooves for sealing elements positioned inside the shell contacting with the model head and tail parts. The strain-gage weighers are contained inside two cylindrical thermally insulating casings with The front casing mounted on the shell while the rear casing is mounted on the holder at a gap relative to the front one. The cooling system including the flexible hoses, the liquid tank and the pump is mounted inside the tunnel preparatory compartment.
EFFECT: enhanced precision and reliability of measurement of aerodynamic characteristics of a model in a supersonic wind tunnel.
