SUBSTANCE: disclosed device relates to environmental protection and processing radioactive wastes (RAW) through immobilisation in a stable solid medium. The induction fusion apparatus with a cold crucible has a collector for inlet of cooling water fitted with an extra pipe for outlet of a vapour-gas mixture; metal water-cooled pipes which form the housing of the crucible in the bottom part joined by a bypass header; the water-cooled bottom of the metal crucible is detachable and is fitted on the bypass header; the drain device consists of metal water-cooled pipes, at least two of which are joined together into a rectangular flat-topped element which forms a vertical gap above the level of the detachable water-cooled bottom, where the said vertical gap is an outlet channel for molten mass, in which there is a drain valve, the said drain device is part of the housing of the cold crucible and has socket pieces for inlet and outlet of cooling water and a guide pipe of the drain valve, lying in the top part of the vertical gap, the tip of the water cooled drain valve is integral and has the shape of a partially truncated cylinder in which the top part has cylindrical shape and the adjacent bottom part has the shape of a semicylinder, the top part of the drain valve is fitted with a turning clamp.

EFFECT: wider range of using the device for processing radioactive wastes to obtain different mineral particles; more reliable operation of the device, higher quality of the end product; safer operation of the device.
