FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to needles for thoracoscopic aortosternopexy. A needle for aortosternopexy contains a tube with one pointed and skewed end. A sleeve with a retention orifice is attached to the other end of the tube. Through the tube lumen, a flexible closed-loop claw is provided. The claw projects beyond the pointed end of the tube and the orifice and forms symmetric end loops. Their diametre may be changed by retraction of the flexible claw into the tube lumen from its pointed end or orifice.
EFFECT: use of the needle enables reliable ligature fixation in the needle lumen and atraumatic aortosternopexy.
