SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENDOLUMINAL PROSTHETICS OF BRANCHED VESSELS AND THOSE WITH BIFURCATIONS Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61F2/06

Abstract RU 2318474 C1

FIELD: medicine, surgery.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with endoluminal prosthetics of the main anatomical canal in a patient's body in area in which, at least, one bifurcating anatomical canal comes from the main anatomical canal. The system mentioned includes an endoaortic implant and the implant of bifurcation. The endoaortic implant contains the first flexible tube that has got, at least, one aperture of bifurcation, a flexible magnetic ring being around of, at least, one aperture of bifurcation, a fixation device for maintaining the first tube in practically fixed position being inside the main anatomical canal so, that the aperture of bifurcation should coincide with bifurcating anatomical canal. The implant of bifurcation contains the second flexible tube, a connecting device which should be selectively activated for connecting proximal end of the second tube with aperture of bifurcation of the first tube after its activation for providing the passage of flowing medium passing through the cavity of endoaortic implant through aperture of bifurcation into the implant's cavity. The connecting device is manufactured to be out of shape-memory metal. The device for fixing the implant of bifurcation being located at distal end of the second tube for keeping, at least, distal end of the implant of bifurcation in interaction with surrounding wall of bifurcating anatomical canal, and the second tube is manufactured out of biologically compatible material. The group of innovations enables to decrease the risk affected hermetic nature.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
