SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of polymerising vinyl-containing monomers, e.g. monomer vinyl halides. Polymerisation is carried out in a reaction mixture which is an aqueous suspension. At least one polymerisation product is extracted from the reaction mixture and the reaction mixture is purified and used again. The device has a reaction vessel connected by a fluid media connection apparatus with a device for extracting the polymerisation product from the reaction mixture, a device for extracting the polymerisation product from the reaction mixture connected by the next fluid medium connection apparatus to the device for purifying the reaction mixture. The device for purifying the reaction mixture is connected by a connection apparatus to the reaction vessel.

EFFECT: method enables reduction of wastes and/or waste water and obtaining a polymer using an environmentally safe technique without deterioration of properties of the polymerisation product.
