FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing biofuel. The method involves neutralisation of fatty acids of rapeseed oil with a 20% solution of potassium hydroxide which is added in amount of 0.25% of the volume of oil. Purified rapeseed oil is mixed with diesel fuel in ratio of 2.5:1 respectively.
EFFECT: invention lowers cost and environmental hazard of production while maintaining quality of the biofuel.
