SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cosmetic industry. An aqueous structured surfactant composition which contains water, one or more anionic surfactants, at least one zwitterionic surfactant or amphoteric surfactant and at least one propoxylated alcohol of formula (II): 
, where R1 is methyl, R2 is (C12-C20)alkyl and n is an integer from approximately 4 to approximately 30. The composition contains at least one surfactant lamellar phase and exhibits viscosity with sheer thinning and capacity to suspend water-insoluble or partially water-soluble components. All components are taken in a defined ratio. The composition can be used for personal hygiene.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a composition which exhibits viscosity with sheer thinning and capacity to suspend water-insoluble or partially water-soluble components which are soft on skin and/or eyes.
