SUBSTANCE: fabric for papermaking machine contains the first and second layers of machine direction threads. The first system of threads transverse to machine direction comprises the first binding threads, which form the first contour ornament by weaving, and the second binding threads, which form the second contour ornament by weaving, which varies from the first one. The first and second contour ornaments form surface ornament of non-calico weaving. Both first and second binding threads are integral part of the first layer and are woven with the second layer. Both first and second binding threads are woven serially into the first layer more than once in a single ornament motif.
EFFECT: invention improves resistance of fabric to internal wear.
