FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: at the bottom of water area of the investigated section there performed is arrangement of independent self-floating multi-component bottom recorders (ISMBR) along parallel lines of profiles with the specified pitch. At least one source installed on the radiating ship radiates continuous seismic vibrations. The radiating ship moves between ISMBR arrangement profiles. Direction of movement of the radiating ship is parallel to the above profiles. Each ISMBR records seismic vibrations. After the radiating ship passes by the half of the profiles, the recording ship starts continuous re-location of ISMBR on the following profiles starting from ISMBR located on the first profile. ISMBR are gathered with the recording ship equipped with hydrophones of sonar communication with ISMBR at its continuous movement along ISMBR arrangement profiles. After that the received data is processed, which involves picking of primary and multiple events in the recorded vibrations. For that purpose, vertical component of velocity vector of the bottom particles displacement and water pressure fluctuation is summed.
EFFECT: as per the received data, there built are spatial depth and time images of the investigated section.
