FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: bus wire is manufactured using front and rear self-propelled production units fixated in advance near adjacent supports where the bus produced in coiled form should be hung. Front unit includes drum with aluminium band or band pack wound on it to form tubular or multilayer bus by the method of rolling, broaching or laminating with special-purpose device positioned on the front unit, with outer edges of the bus welded automatically after the bus forming. Rear unit includes winch with cable carrying a clamp at the cable end to catch formed bus end and pull the bus over a passage to the next support. Bus produced by unfolded construction sector is hung on supports, then front and rear self-propelled units move to supports of the next passage by themselves.
EFFECT: convenient transportation, improved durability, lifetime and economy of high-voltage power transmission lines.
