FIELD: construction industry.
SUBSTANCE: overhead crane for mounting superstructures includes the mounting truss on the ends of which swivel centering blocks are located. Each block is equipped with the axis extended downwards and the rotary mechanism turning the overhead crane about the front block axis in order to move rear block to the next support. When overhead crane is in operating mode, axes of both blocks are lowered into vertical tubes embedded in the centre of each bridge support. Along overhead crane guides there moved is a lift truck also installing other structural elements of the superstructure in the beam span.
EFFECT: swivel-consecutive movement of overhead crane from span to span without using any additional mounting devices, and providing considerable increase of labour input of bridge construction work.
