FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied in AC electric drives based on asynchronous engine (AE) with phase rotor, mainly in crane lifting and transportation machines. Result is achieved even with complete transformation of switching surge power of switchboards into surge suppressor heat, yet the effect is further enhanced in case of surge power shedding to electric power network. Large value of switch surges allows for partial sliding energy shedding from rotor circuit to network at any speed/torque curve areas of asynchronous engine. Switch connection and disconnection torques are determined by conditions of obtaining required characteristics.
EFFECT: increased electromagnetic torque of asynchronous engine along with reduction of rotor and stator currents in rotor circuit when these currents generate individually negative components of total torque or generate small torque, current reduction, efficiency boost, and increased torque of asynchronous engine.
