METHOD OF SUTURELESS PLASTY OF LACHRYMONASAL FISTULA IN ENDONASAL ENDOSCOPIC DACRYOCYSTORHINOSTOMY Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61F9/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and aims at surgery of dacryocystitis and accompanying nasolachrymal duct obstruction. The method consists in excision of a mucous membrane on a lateral wall of the nasal cavity, creation of a bone window within a bottom of the lachrymal fossa, excision of a medial wall of the lachrymal sac and creation of a fistula between the lachrymal sac and the nasal cavity. Herewith, the medial wall of the lachrymal sac and a piece of the Schneiderian membrane are excised by a needle electrode of a radio surgical apparatus with power 20-25 Wt and frequency 3.8-4.0 MHz. The bottom of the lachrymal fossa is removed within a zone of the excised membrane on the lateral wall of the nasal nose with a stitching bur connected to an aspiration system. The fistula forming walls are not sutured, while the dimensions of the tissues to be removed in creating the nasolachrymal fistula are determined by intraoperative electrodiaphanoscopy of the lachrymal sac.

EFFECT: use of the invention allows minimising an area of the operative injures with maintaining high functional effectiveness of the procedure.
