FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pyrotechic aerosol-forming compositions with irritant effect and can be used to arm non-lethal ammunition used to incapacitate lawbreakers or terrorists. The pyrotechnic aerosol-forming composition with irritant effect has a thermal mixture and an irritant. The thermal mixture is a mixture of black powder and phenol-formaldehyde resin in ratio of 3.5-5.0. Phenol-formaldehyde resin is in form of a coating on particles of the black powder. The mass ratio of the thermal mixture to that of the irritant is 0.9-2.6. Granular size of the black powder coated with phenol-formaldehyde resin preferably ranges from 0.5 to 2.5 mm. The irritant used can be powdered chloroacetophenone (CN) or o-chlorobenzalmalonitrile (CS), or dibenz [b,f] 1,4-oxazepine (CR), or pelargonic acid morpholide or capsaicin or malodorant or some other substance with non-lethal effect on humans in form of an aerosol.
EFFECT: increased effectiveness of the composition, as well as safety of its preparation and use.
