FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: there is described a perfluoroelastomer gel which contains TFE based perfluoroelastomers with at least another (per) fluorinated comonomer having at least one ethylene-type unsaturated bond, and having the following properties: appearance: transparent gelatinous solid; water content between 10% and 90 wt %; density between 1.1 and 2.1 g/cm³; the said gel satisfies the following test: the gel dried in a drying chamber at 90°C until a constant weight, gives a curable perfluoroelastomer and the gel is obtained using a method which involves the following steps, beginning with polymerisation perfluoroelastomer latex: C. preparing an aqueous solution containing an electrolyte, the obtained solution C. has freezing point which is lower or equal to glass transition point T_g (°C) of the perfluoroelastomer latex; D. cooling the polymerisation latex to temperature T1 below or equal to glass transition point of the perfluoroelastomer latex; E. cooling aqueous solution C to temperature T2 below or equal to glass transition point of perfluoroelastomer latex, T2 is virtually equal to T1; F. formation of the gel by injecting the mixture D into the solution E. Described also are cross linked perfluoroelastomers obtained from the perfluoroelastomer gel; cured perfluoroelastomers obtained by cross linking perfluoroelastomers; industrial articles which contain cured perfluoroelastomers and use of the gel to coat the industrial articles.
