FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: condenser consists of removable cover on oil collector to facilitate control over rate of corrosion and of three separately fabricated groups of samples for control of corrosion rate. The samples of the first group are fabricated out of material similar to material of heat-exchanging pipes and are arranged in a chamber between an end cover and a tube plate at input to the heat exchanging pipe. The samples of the second group are made out of material similar to material of heat exchanging pipes and are positioned in inter-pipe space on a heat exchanging pipe opposite to the removable cover of the oil collector. The samples of the third group are made out of material similar to material of the case and are positioned in inter-pipe space opposite to the removable cover of the oil collector.
EFFECT: upgraded accuracy of measuring rate of corrosion and of prognosis of service life of condenser.
