FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for control of geometrical dimensions of surface of elements of rail profile is carried out by means of a tool made in form of one-piece templates and with consideration of allowances. Deviations are controlled by procedure of total inspection over whole inspected surface with two types of templates repeating its contour. Also one template is made with consideration of minimal, while another - with maximal allowances; assessment of deviations from allowed dimensions is made on presence or absence of gaps between specific zones on templates and inspected surfaces.
EFFECT: facilitating visual control of deviations from norm of geometric surfaces of rail profile elements by procedure of their total control.
