SUBSTANCE: proposed cable 10 comprises current conducting wires 14 enclosed in insulating sheath 12. Solid protective wire 16 is coiled about insulator outer surface. Said solid protective wire 16 is made from, for example steel or titanium and features thickness that prevents its gnawing through by gnawers. Protective wire rings are spaced apart all over the cable length. Spacing a between said rings will be smaller than gnawer tooth width to form "fence" preventing contact between gnawer teeth and insulator.
EFFECT: cable protection with minimum weight and higher flexibility.
